Flag cake is a must have at every Fourth of July celebration. Cake is one thing I cannot resist. Every party, in my opinion, should have a cake. You can find the sheet cake recipe I used here. However, if you have a favorite cake recipe, use that instead. I also used cream cheese icing. You can find that recipe here. Cream cheese icing is not negotiable. It tastes ridiculously good when paired with fruit. Just trust me. In fact, if you’d rather have flag cookies, the sugar cookie fruit pizzas I blogged about here would be perfect.
Did you know that Arkansas has 14.5 million acres of farmland?
Ingredients:
- 1 13×9 white sheet cake
- 2 cups cream cheese frosting
- 1 container of blueberries
- 1 container of strawberries, sliced
Directions:
Frost your cooled sheet cake with the cream cheese frosting. Decorate with blueberries in the top left corner. Lay out sliced strawberries in rows. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Did I mention I love cake?
There is no greater frosting than cream cheese frosting.
Blueberries go in the top left corner. You could be more decorative with them, but I like this look.
At your strawberry rows. I did a wider spacing first then filled them in to make sure I’d have enough strawberries.
How cute is that flag cake?
Okay last picture.
