We’ve all done it. You know. That steak you were planning to cook for supper tonight? You’re already on your way to work and realize you forgot to transfer it from the freezer to refrigerator last night to thaw. Don’t worry. You can still prepare a great steak from a frozen chunk of beef.
Just heat a frying pan to very hot, and set that frozen steak rock in it, searing it 90 seconds on each side. This creates that rich-looking, beautiful brown color on the outside, and nothing inside is overcooked, because it’s still frozen.
Season the steak to taste, and pop it in the oven at 450 F, cooking it until the inside reaches the temperature required for the desired doneness you want. Easily check it with a digital meat temperature probe. The total time shouldn’t take more than 30 minutes depending on the size of the steak.
Remove from the oven and allow it to rest for 5 minutes before eating. It’s that simple.
